At the center of the Junior League’s mission is a commitment to serve the community. Each year we research and develop projects with the goal of better serving families at risk. Volunteers are then trained to execute those projects.
This year, the JLSB will engage in the following community projects:
- Artist for a Day at the Red River Revel
- MAGIC: Mentoring Ambitious Girls to Inspire Change
- Health Literacy Initiative
- Safe Sitter
- Super Safety Saturday
League volunteers work approximately 4,000 volunteer hours annually toward our community projects. Our operating budget of over $300,000 supports the Junior League mission to “promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve communities through the effective actions and leadership of trained volunteers.”
