Super Safety Saturday is a health and safety fair for families held at Safety Town, which also includes a family fun zone featuring bounce houses, entertainment, and a fabulous Touch-a-Truck area where children can get up close and personal with all types of specialized vehicles.
Participants at Super Safety Saturday learn about staying safe and healthy in the community. Community members are on hand providing guidance about healthy food, water safety, study skills, internet safety, dental care, and so much more. Deputies from the Sheriff's office give their time finger printing children for identification cards, as well as performing all-important car seat inspections. Children are able to ride their bikes through the Safety Town Community and learn real-life bike safety.
This past year, over 500 children and families particiated in this FREE community event.

The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier began its partnership with Sheriff's Safety Town in 2008. In celebration of its 75th anniversary of serving the community, the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier donated $75,000 to assist in the construction of this unique educational facility. The funds were used to construct an outdoor pavilion at the heart of the Safety Town neighborhood. For more information about Sheriff's Safety Town, please visit their website at:
