The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc. is actively seeking women who possess an interest in voluntarism, a commitment to community service and an interest in developing her potential for voluntary community participation. There are many benefits to becoming a member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc. The League offers its members professional training, flexible volunteer placements and an opportunity to make friends for life with women who show common concern for the community.

Membership Requirements
- A candidate for membership must have passed her 24th birthday and not have reached her 45th birthday as of June 1st of the fiscal year of her proposal.
- Before accepting the invitation to membership, the candidate shall have received an orientation in the privileges and responsibilities of League membership and shall agree to engage in community service in connection with the programs of the League.
- A candidate must be sponsored for membership by three members of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, two of whom must be Active members.
Financial Requirements
- Provisional Fee (One Time) $ 80 and Yearbook picture & apron, $30; Annual Membership Dues $108
- $100 in Trends and Traditions Tickets or Cookbooks
Provisional Time Requirements
- Regular meeting attendance including fall retreat
- Work two 3-4 hour shifts at Revel Pepsi booths, Junior League Spring Market or Cookbook
- Fulfill requirements of mini-placement (approximately 15 hours)
Each Active member is required to do a "placement" every year in order to serve her community. A placement can either be with a League-chosen community project or within the League's administration. The minimum placement requirement is 40 to 60 hours annually with many members contributing more than that each year.
Each Active member will complete two shifts. Options for serving shifts include Cookbook. Junior League Spring Market or Revel Pepsi Booth.
All active and provisional members are required to attend monthly general meetings. Provisional members are also required to complete a Provisional course. First year actives also serve on a League committee.
