Heather Courtney is the 2024-2025 Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier Sustainer at Large. Her goals for the 2024-2025 League year are to work alongside the Sustainer Advisor to encourage increased sustainer participation with our current League members and for our Sustainers to assist our active members in recruiting new members to join our League.

This year is Courtney’s 15th year being a part of the Junior League and has previous serve on placements such as Artist for a Day (2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2012-2013), JL Spring Market – Assistant Hospitality Chair (2013-2014), Hospitality Chair (2014-2015), Market Co-Chair (2015-2016), Assistant Ways & Means VP (2016-2017), Ways & Means VP (2017-2018), Nominating Advisor (2018-2019), Nominating Chair (2019-2020), Sustainer at Large (2023-2024)

Courtney moved to the Shreveport-Bossier area after law school with only one friend in Shreveport; joining the League was a way to meet people.  With a few exceptions, her closest friends are ladies she met in the JLSB. She believes her plan was successful.
