Shreveport, LA – June, 2013: The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc. (JLSB) has announced the appointment of its 2013-2014 Board of Directors. President Melanie Peacock will lead the Board as the non-profit organization, which has 254 active and 537 sustaining members, enters its 81st year of community service. In addition to President Melanie Peacock the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier’s Board members for the 2013-2014 fiscal year are: President-Elect: Elba Hamilton, Community Vice President: Diane Libro, Communications Vice President: Emily Nickelson, Membership Vice President: Molly McInnis, Ways and Means Vice President: Susannah Stinson, Treasurer: Emily Rice, Assistant Treasurer: Tiffany Lake, Secretary: Lila Knicely, Placement Chairman: Katie Loomis, Nominating Chairman: Katie Baker, Project Research and Development Chairman: Heather Fulco, and Sustainer Advisor: Ginger Lukacs.

These women along with our membership are at the forefront of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community in which we serve,” stated JLSB President, Melanie Peacock.
Since 1933, the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier has been building a better community through initiation of projects such as Mollie E Webb Speech and Hearing Center, Rutherford House, Red River Revel and LSUS Pioneer Heritage Center. Current League community projects include Between the Lines, LSUHSC Bingo, Domestic Violence Education and Prevention in partnership with Providence House, Health Literacy Summer Camp, Super Safety Saturday at Sheriff’s Safety Town, Red River Revel Artist for a Day, Kids in the Kitchen, and Safe Sitter.
