Domestice Violence Education and Prevention in Partnership with Providence House

The purpose of this project, which began during the 2012-2013 League year, is to educate individuals and groups about domestic violence. Domestic violence can be defined as a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner. The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier will partner with Providence House for this project. Providence House will train our volunteers in different aspects of domestic violence. JLSB members will act as educators and teach the program developed by Providence House to different groups in the Shreveport-Bossier Community.

Please take a moment to watch the video below to witness how Domestic Violence affects our community, and what Providence House is doing to prevent it, as well as help victims.
